Q. How does the indianguesthouses.com online booking system works?
A. Our booking system is simple and easy. It lets you do instant booking online or send request for booking.

Once you have decided on a hotel, click on “Book Now “ button to see detailed profile of the selected hotel with details like description, room types, room rates, photos, location and amenities and its cancellation policy. After reviewing the profile of the hotel , just hit the”Book It Now” or “ Send Request” button( given against each room type) for initiating the booking process.

Two categories of reservation requests are possible: Instant bookings and Bookings on Request. In the first case (Instant bookings) you will receive an automatic confirmation message from indianguesthouses.com system. You will receive another further re-confirmation from IGH.

In the second case (Bookings on Request) you will receive an email informing you that indianguesthouses.com has received your request. Our reservation desk will then respond via email within 48 hours either confirming or canceling your request.

Bear in mind that your request will be confirmed by indianguesthouses.com and until then do not consider it as confirmed. When you receive an email from indianguesthouses.com reservation desk confirming the status of your booking appears as OK you can rest assured that it has been confirmed. In order to receive confirmation via email make sure that the address you enter when sending your booking request is correct. If you enter an incorrect e-mail address you will not be able to receive a reply from us and this could lead to communication problems and misunderstandings. Therefore, it is crucial that you make sure all data is correct.
 
Q. What should I do if room is not available for online instant booking in selected hotel?
A. If a particular room type is not available for online instant booking in your selected hotel, you may send us a booking request.. We will try our best to accommodate your request and will respond to you within 48 hours.
 
Q. How will I receive confirmation of my booking ?
A. When you hit the button , a sequence of processes kick off. You are emailed ( on your given email id) a confirmation page and your credit card is debited for the room reservation charges. The confirmation page is your booking voucher and needs to be taken to the guesthouse/hotel in order to check in.Since you are booked through INDIAN GUESTHOUSES.COM you do not need to contact the hotel directly.
 
Q. Will the hotel confirm the reservation directly to me ?
A. No. You will receive a confirmation email when your booking process is completed. This confirmation email is from INDIAN GUESTH0USES.COM. If you do not receive booking confirmation or have any questions about your booking, please get in touch with us immediately.
 
Q. What should I do If I do not receive any confirmation email ?
A. You should receive the confirmation email almost immediately after the booking. If you do not receive the same as stated please contact us through the website immediately. We may need to verify that the email address given by you is alright.
 
Q. Can I book over the phone ?
A. We do appreciate your situation at times of just wanting to use the phone and make the required reservation. But at this moment our online reservation system does not permit reservation through telephone.
 
Q. Will I be able to amend my booking after it has been confirmed ?
A. Amendment is only possible through Cancellation and then seeking a fresh booking.
 
Q. How do I cancel a booking ?
A. If you need to cancel the booking , you have to send a cancellation request through our website clicking cancel booking .
 
Q. What is the cancellation policy ?
A. Each hotel/guesthouse/bed and breakfast property, has its own cancellation policy. We request you to read and understand the cancellation policy before confirming your booking. If you need any clarification regarding individual cancellation policy of a hotel/guesthouse/bed and breakfast you may contact us [email protected].

The cancellation time would be the Indian standard time at which the cancellation request is received on our website. Please note that in addition to the charges levied under cancellation policy of the concerned guesthouse/hotel, a cancellation processing charge of Indian Rs. 750/- will apply to each cancellation.
 
Q. How do I get my cancellation refund ?
A. All refunds will be credited directly onto the credit card that was used to pay for the reservation. The refund is issued right away and should be visible in your credit card account within 15-30 working days. (Processing time at your credit card company end may result in additional delays) Please note that we will not process any manual refunds at this time.
 
Q. Are refunds available if I need to cut short my stay ?
A. Plans can change anytime depending upon life situations. However we cannot offer a refund if you short stay on a confirmed reservation. Refunds will be made strictly in accordance with cancellation policy of property reserved and payment of online reservation cancellation charges.
 
Q. What If I am not happy with my hotel room when I arrive ?
A. If you are not happy with the hotel room or facilities please bring it to the attention of the hotel management as early as possible during your stay. If you are not satisfied with the management response please call our customer care number(Printed on your email confirmation) and we will do our best to resolve the problem to your satisfaction.

In the highly unlikely event of you not being satisfied, you must notify indianguesthouses.com in writing within 30 days of your departure from the hotel.

Q. What details do I need to provide at the time of check in at the confirmed hotel/guest house/bed & breakfast ?
A. You need to bring your booking confirmation (which can be printed at the end of the reservation process and/or emailed to you ) or your email confirmation along with a photo identity. The hotel may ask you to provide these at time of check in.
 
Q. I want to stay an extra night/s-How do I do this ?
A. You can book an extra night by simply informing our customer care number or the hotel management. This will be treated as an extra booking.
 
Q. Is it safe to use my credit card ?
A. It is perfectly safe to use your credit card. Indianguesthouses.com uses the Verisign’s SSL which encrypts your credit card number and other information before they travel on the internet. This encryption makes doing business over the internet as secure as making purchase in-person.
 
Q. Is my personal information safe on INDIAN GUESTHOUSES. COM. ?
A. Your personal information is safe with the web portal. All information is gathered within a secure site so your name, email address postal address, phone and fax number and credit card number and details are fully protected at all times. Read our “Privacy Policy”. We also assure you that your information is not divulged by us to any third party. To us, the use of your personal information is only for sole purpose of completion of your hotel booking process and give you a confirmation and contact you in case the need to do so arises.

Q. Why is the price different to when I last checked in ?
A. All rates are subject to currency fluctuations and so some slight changes in price may occur on day to day basis. Once you check in at a hotel, the currency exchange rate for that booking is fixed as on that date. It is also worth noting that hotels may increase or decrease the hotel rooms price depending upon their pricing policies. So rates can change on a daily basis. BUT REMEMBER WHEN YOU BOOK, THE PRICE IS GUARANTEED AT THE RATE BOOKED AND YOU WILL NOT PAY ANY EXTRA CHARGES.
